Flåvær Fyr is a historic lighthouse located in the picturesque village of Flåvær, Moltustranda, Herøy Municipality, Møre og Romsdal County, Norway (62.3156486° N, 5.58232° E).
Construction and History
The original lighthouse was built in 1853 but was destroyed by a storm in 1872. A new structure was constructed in 1881, designed by architect Adolf von Hirschfeld, featuring an octagonal shape with a height of 16.8 meters (55 feet). The lighthouse was equipped with a Fresnel lens and a fog signal.
