Flatökubb Lighthouse

The Flatökubb lighthouse is situated on Aspövägen in Korpo, Finland.

The town of Korpo is located on the island of Korpo, which is part of the Åland Islands archipelago.

History

The construction of the Flatökubb lighthouse began in 1908 and was completed in 1910.

It has been an important aid to navigation for mariners in the Baltic Sea ever since its construction.

Architecture and Construction Materials

The Flatökubb lighthouse is a tall, cylindrical structure with a distinctive red-and-white striped pattern.

The tower stands at a height of approximately 30 meters (98 feet) above sea level, while the focal height is around 40 meters (131 feet).

The lighthouse is constructed from cast iron and has a characteristic lantern room at its top.
