The Phare de Leucate features a white light with a characteristic sequence: Fl (first order) + 2.4 seconds, followed by a 0.1-second pause, then Fl (second order) + 7.4 seconds. The light has a range of 20 nautical miles and is visible from a distance of approximately 66 meters.

Current Status

The Phare de Leucate is no longer an active navigational aid, having been automated in the late 1990s. Today, it serves as a museum and a popular tourist destination, offering stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea.

The Phare de Leucate is situated on the Chemin du Phare, near the town of Leucate, in the Hérault department of southern France. The lighthouse is easily accessible by car or on foot, with parking facilities available nearby.
