Φάρος Κεριού

The Φάρος Κεριού, also known as Akra Kerion Lighthouse, has a rich history dating back to the 19th century.

History

• The lighthouse was constructed in 1885, during the Greek War of Independence against the Ottoman Empire.

The tower stands at a height of 194 meters above sea level, with a focal height of approximately 220 meters. The structure is built using limestone and granite blocks, which provide excellent durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions.
