Kópasker Lighthouse
The Kópasker Lighthouse is situated on the eastern shore of Öxarfjörður in northeast Iceland, within the municipality of Norðurþing. The village of Kópasker, with approximately 120 inhabitants, is easily accessible by road.
History
Construction of the lighthouse began in 1933 and was completed in 1934. It has been an important aid to navigation for mariners in the region ever since.

The tower height of the Kópasker Lighthouse is 21 meters (69 feet). The focal height, which is the distance from the base of the tower to the top of the light, is also 21 meters.
