History

The Okaeda Port Defense Breakwater Lighthouse was constructed in 1902 to serve as a vital aid to navigation for ships entering Tokyo Bay. Its strategic location allowed it to monitor the entrance to the bay, providing critical information to mariners navigating the treacherous waters of the bay.
