The Nidos Švyturys, also known as the Nida Lighthouse, is a historic lighthouse located on the coast of Lithuania.
History
- The construction of this tower began in 1904 and was completed in 1905 by the Lithuanian engineer Antanas Rastikis.
- The lighthouse was designed to serve as a navigational aid for ships traveling along the Baltic Sea.
Architecture
The Nidos Švyturys is a wooden tower with a height of 28 meters (92 feet) and a focal height of 78 meters (256 feet).
The light source is a Fresnel lens, which produces a white beam that can be seen from a distance of 22 nautical miles.
The lighthouse has two main lantern rooms, one at the top and another below it.

The Nidos Švyturys is situated on the coast of Neringa, Lithuania, in the Curonian Spit, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The lighthouse can be accessed via Taikos g. 36A, and visitors can pay for parking using cash or contactless payment methods.
