History

Construction on the lighthouse began in 1892. It has been an important aid to navigation for mariners since its completion.

The Latarnia Morska Ustka is a 19.5-meter-tall tower made of stone and brick. The tower's design is characteristic of early 20th-century Polish lighthouses.

Light Characteristics

• The lighthouse emits a white light with a range of 18 nautical miles, visible for six seconds at intervals of two seconds.
• The light is characterized by the sequence "Oc" in the International Radiobeacon Standard (IRS) system.

Current Status

The Latarnia Morska Ustka remains an active aid to navigation, although its automated systems are reportedly in place. It is not currently a museum, but it may be open for guided tours or viewing by appointment.
