History

The Sandkullen Lighthouse was built in 1916. It has been an important aid to navigation for mariners in the Österbotten archipelago ever since its construction.

The lighthouse stands at a height of approximately 25 meters (82 feet) above sea level, with a focal height of around 30 meters (98 feet). The tower is constructed from red brick and features a distinctive octagonal shape. The light source is reportedly an Iso-type lamp, emitting a green beam with a range of 7 nautical miles.
