The Sherwood Point Lighthouse is situated on the west side of the north entrance to Sturgeon Bay, near Idlewild in Door County, Wisconsin, United States.

The lighthouse can be accessed via the Coast Guard Access Road.

History

Construction of the Sherwood Point Lighthouse began in 1883 and was completed by 1885.

It has been an important aid to navigation for mariners entering Sturgeon Bay.

The lighthouse stands at a height of 19 meters (62 feet) above sea level, with a focal height of 24 meters (79 feet).

The tower is constructed from stone and features a distinctive square base.

The light source is an Iso-type lamp.
