Skokholm Lighthouse
The Skokholm Lighthouse was constructed in 1916 and has been an important aid to navigation on the southwest coast of Pembrokeshire, Wales ever since its completion.
History
- The lighthouse is a small, cylindrical structure with a distinctive red-and-white striped exterior. It stands at a height of approximately 30 metres (98 feet) above sea level, although its focal point rises to around 45 metres (148 feet). The tower is constructed from cast iron and features a distinctive lantern room at the top.
The Skokholm Lighthouse emits a fixed white light that can be seen for up to 10 nautical miles (18.5 km) out to sea. The light's pattern is a steady, unchanging beam that helps guide mariners safely into the nearby harbour.

The lighthouse is situated on Skokholm Island, just off the southwest coast of Pembrokeshire, Wales. Visitors can access the island via a short ferry ride from Marloes and St. Brides.
