The Farul Genovez emits a fixed red light with a range of approximately 20 nautical miles. The light's pattern is a steady flash every 10 seconds, making it an easily recognizable aid to navigation for mariners.

The Farul Genovez remains an active lighthouse, although its operation has been automated over the years. The Romanian Maritime Administration (lmi) is responsible for maintaining the lighthouse and ensuring its continued operation.

The Farul Genovez is located on Strada Remus Opreanu 17 in Constanța, Romania. Visitors can access the lighthouse via a short walk from the nearby beach. However, please note that wheelchair accessibility is limited due to the structure's age and design.
